The blog is like this big box of stuff, that you sometimes reach into and find something long forgotten. That happened today, looking for an image, but I came across a post ideal for the Combolulation Machine (even though the show is long over).
It references TDC1493 simply called “Invention” Look at the irony I noticed, or symmetry or magic:

The challenge was simple yet broad at the same time “Make an invention of your own and give it a name. Include a price and what it does.”
The best thing is the person who added it was a former DS206 student. But I decided to share 12 responses that illiustrate the creativity in the mix, ones form Kevin Hodgson, someone named Urbie who worked at the Maricopa Community Colleges where I came from. Jaap Bosman who was very often in the mix, on of those mystery sock puppet accounts @Undertaker, Terry Greene when he was very new to DS106 (the trackback ping goes to his earlier WordPress.com site), Sandy Jensen Brown (Jensen Brown Jensen as I used to tease, we miss ya Sandy), a student named Tiffany leavinf only the ghost trace of a busted tweet, the great Mariana Funes, another student named Tierra who seems to have had a connection to westernDS106, the top tweeting daily creater Ronald_2008, Sara a student who’s tweets and blog link are still alive, and my own a machine that makes MOOCs (I found it after blogging about the silly web thing that still works).
This how thing has been a refreshing awakening again to how fantastic DS106 was/is/will be.
